David Kressler
Senior Lecturer
David Kressler is a full-time lecturer at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, the University of Maryland. His primary teaching interests focus on business strategy and the early stages of entrepreneurship. Kressler received his doctorate and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan.
For the past 20 years, Kressler has been an entrepreneur, starting and growing his own asset management business with the Principal Financial Group to over $250 million AUM. Prior to that he held a series of senior positions with SPOT Image Corporation, the American Psychological Association and Ford Motor Company.
Kressler has been Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Initiative Foundation. For the past 15 years, this non-profit has annually provided over $3 million in seed money grants to healthcare facilities in the Greater Washington area.
